Die Entwicklung von Hochleistungslegierungen verbindet in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Arbeitsgruppe "Numererische Simulation" thermodynamische Rechnungen mit dem experimentellen Ansatz. Die Aktivitäten der Gruppe für Hochleistungslegierungen konzentrieren sich derzeit auf folgende Systeme:

- Eisenaluminide und ferritische Superlegierungen
- Titanaluminide
- Multi-Principle-Element Alloys
- Hochentropielegierungen
